Internationally based record label and music production company Global Disc Records was formed in 1998 by a Japanese music producer, Daisuke Hinata, along with two other partners, Setsuko Yamashiro and Shinnosuke Sorimachi. They created a record label that specializes in bringing successful overseas artist to America.

Global Disc is releasing high caliber World Music and soundtracks from such diverse locations as South East Asia and Latin America. Global Disc's goal is to expose new audiences to undiscovered talents, new musical styles and genres from all over the globe.
